superGiant Bio

Welcome to superGiant, the culmination of numerous previous musical projects, the resultant debut of four years work in and out of the studio, and the intensively and aurally layered creations of James Butler and Graham Cupples. Rooted in the sound of late night dance club builds and electronic explosions, superGiant roughens up its edges with hints of rock snarls and hooks. With that, Supergiant presents the dark, celebratory and gloriously, urban-romantic release of "Radiaton" and "Radiance".

2009 brings the release of 2 new SuperGiant albums:
Sister Robot and Demons.

Cupples states: " Release of both albums have been delayed due to work on the Zzips albums which are bluegrass acoustic versions of both albums. The first of these, "Twenty Years Late Again" is now ready for release and the "Demons" album ( provisionally entirtled "Light From This End" will be ready end of next summer"

superGiant members Butler and Cupples were former collaborators in H2SO4, releasing three 12" singles and two full length CDs from 1999 to 2000, as well as forming S16 Studios. Their release of their single "Imitation Leather Jacket" resulted in critical acclaim from the likes of John Peel, FM's Bob Geldof and Radio 1 DJ Peter Tong. H2S04's music can be heard in the HBO series Six Feet Under and The Sopranos, as well as the full length motion picture "Hellbent".

Butler and Cupples have also garnered attention as members of bands Code, Lobster, Sulpher and Mortal. Their release Le Mans, recorded in a 24 hours session, is based around the writings of Jack Kerouac's "On The Road".
