The Code Story

Formed in 1993. Extensive touring and writing resulted in their signing to 3rd Mind in 1995. "The Architect" is a cult album fusing industrial, ambient dance music within a songwriting framework. It was awarded 10/10 by Future Music Magazine and Single Of The Week by Melody Maker for "Cities" EP. Their avant guard 12 minute long "505345675delta9" was a long-time favorite play of Radio 1 John Peel.

During the writing of their second album "Sky Forever", they began work on a 'filmic/ambient' album called "Deco" (an anagram of CODE) – which explained in musical language the design ethos of the art deco movement. It is full of gorgeous melodies, engaging 'retro-futuristic' ideas and sexy rhythms, and was described by Mix Magazine as "an amazing piece of work...".

The album was released by 3rd Mind in Germany on ISDN Records by Code's other (instrumental) ego Mortal.

All releases are still available for purchase on Amazon or I-Music.
